Employee Portrait Gallery — Emerson Hiller
Spinula hilleri, named by Howard Sanders and Scottish biologist John Allen, for its resemblance to the captain, was officially recorded in a 1982 article in the Journal of the Museum of Comparative Zoology. It also inspired this artist’s drawing of Hiller with clam-shaped head.
